Information about personal data processed when you visit this website, contact us or enquire about ClassifyIt.
1. Who is responsible?
The controller is Ralf Ulrich Garbe (Software), Karthäuserhofweg 16a, 56075 Koblenz, Germany. Telephone: +49 261 45099477. Email: support@ugarbe.de.
2. Website hosting and access data
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH in Germany. Delivering the website requires processing connection information, including your IP address. Hosting logs can also contain the requested page or file, access time, response information, browser details and referring page.
The purpose is to deliver the website reliably, troubleshoot faults and detect or prevent attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in operating a secure and available website.
STRATO states that visitor IP addresses are retained for attack detection and prevention for a maximum of seven days. Information about its hosting logs and processing arrangements is available in STRATO’s data-processing information.
3. Cookies, analytics and local resources
The static website itself sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising scripts. We use no additional visitor analytics beyond the hosting/security information described above. Fonts, images, scripts and the animation are served from this website; they are not loaded from external font, video or social-media services.
The site has no user accounts or contact form. Email links open your own email application.
4. Contact by email or telephone
If you contact us, we process the contact details and information you provide, such as your name, email address, organisation, enquiry and relevant technical or support information. Our email service is hosted by STRATO.
We use this information to answer enquiries, provide support and manage the business relationship. Where an enquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other correspondence is processed under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and providing useful support.
5. How long correspondence is retained
We retain correspondence while it is needed for customer support, the business relationship, compliance with legal retention obligations or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. Records are reviewed for deletion when they are no longer needed for those purposes.
There is no single retention period for every enquiry. Relevant criteria include whether a support issue or customer relationship is ongoing, whether the correspondence forms part of records that must be retained by law, and whether it is needed for a legal claim. Where retention is legally required, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR is the applicable legal basis.
6. Purchasing through Digistore24
Purchase buttons lead to an external Digistore24 checkout. Visiting that checkout and entering order or payment details involves processing by the checkout provider under its own privacy information.
We process the order and contact information needed to provide licences, fulfil the order and deliver support. This processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and, where applicable, legal record-keeping obligations under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. We may retain relevant correspondence and business records for the purposes described above.
7. Recipients and external websites
Hosting and email service providers process data as necessary to provide their services. Data may also be disclosed to authorities or professional advisers where legally required or necessary to establish or defend legal claims. Information is not sold for advertising purposes.
External links connect to other providers only when you follow them. Their privacy information applies to their websites and services, including any information about processing outside the European Economic Area.
8. Your rights
Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you may request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability under Articles 15–20 GDPR. If processing is based on consent, consent may be withdrawn for the future without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Right to object: where processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object under Article 21 GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation. Contact us using the details above.
You may complain to a data-protection supervisory authority under Article 77 GDPR. In particular, you can contact the Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz.
9. Providing information and automated decisions
You do not need to submit an enquiry to browse this site. Connection information is necessary to deliver requested pages and downloads. If you ask us to provide support or a quotation, sufficient contact and enquiry information is needed to respond.
This website does not carry out automated individual decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects, including profiling.
